On Thursday, July 18th 2013 I will be speaking at Book’d in Burbank, a fantastic literary event hosted by Liz D at Theatre Banshee in Burbank. Festivities include Young Adult (YA), Mystery, and Romance author readings (that’s me!), a gift basket raffle and books giveaway, stand-up literary comedy, a dessert & mingling reception, and an charitable book drive to benefit the Los Angeles County affiliate of Susan G. Komen for the Cure. Tickets are just $10, and gets you a free raffle ticket. I would love to see you there!

DANCING WITH DANGER, is a double finalist for the 2013 Booksellers Best Award for   Best Romantic Suspense and Best First Book!  This prestigious contest is hosted by the Greater Detroit Romance Writers of America, and this year I am honored and humbled to find my name listed among some of the best romance writers of today.

A full list of the finalists can be found at the GDRWA website.  The winners will be announced at the at the RWA National Conference in Atlanta this July.

My time-travel short story, “Five Years, Five Minutes,” was published by Los Angeles Romance Authors (LARA) in the romance anthology Five Minute Love Stories. In addition to my story, you can find 21 other short tales about all kinds of love, from sweet to spicy, dramatic to funny, platonic to romantic.

I was a guest speaker at the Los Angeles Romance Author’s (LARA) December meeting, talking about my publishing experience over the last year.  A chapter of Romance Writers of America©, LARA’s purpose is to promote excellence in romance fiction, help writers exchange knowledge and establish career goals, and provide continuing support and encouragement for its members through all levels of their careers. It was an honor and a pleasure to be a speaker for this amazing group.

My paranormal short story “Five Minutes, Five Years” has been accepted for publication in the Los Angeles Romance Author’s anthology Five Minute Love Stories! The anthology will be available in early 2013 wherever e-books are sold.
